Cat vs. Scorpion
Apparently cats aren't at all scared of deadly black scorpions. This one is particularly careful to avoid the tail, even after winning the "battle."

looks tasty
I thought "deadly" scorpions were usually brightly colored. Greens, reds, oranges, stuff like that.
Then again, i'm sure even a scorpion thats not considered to be deadly to humans is more of a threat to an animal as small as a cat.

Mammals for the win.
If this cat's as good at swinging on vines over crocodiles as it is with dealing with black scorpions, it'd be a natural for Pitfall.
I did not expect the cat to eat it.
SPOILER
He eats the scorpion then untangles AND body flosses with the stinger tail.

uhh i think u mean this one ISNT particularly careful
deadly scorpions are usually the smaller bark colored ones.. fairly dark brown colored.

Dude, everyone knows cats are immune to ANYTHING, except on their 9th life.
Geez.

Not immune, just less likely to get fatally stung. The combination of a short stinger, fur and marginally tougher skin than our own as well as a scorpion's use of "pre-venom" when provoked, which just hurts instead of kills, leads to their untimely demise from katz.
A minute too long. I didn't pay good money to sit and watch a cat eat, I wanted action and nothing but.
Without a doubt the most adorable thing I will see all day.
since no one has said it,
scorpiOWNED

That's the case with most bugs, just not scorpions...bright colors would stand out too much in an arid environment.
Although, scorpions actually fluoresce bright green under UV light...so maybe they're just drab to mammal eyes while they're vivid to insect eyes (most insects can see in UV+vis)
and i take it bugs usually carry a UV lamp around with them just in case
SHOPPED
the smaller the claws the more poisoness, because then it primarily uses its venom to kill prey, while big clawed scorpions primarily use their claws, so their venom is less poisoness.

I leak pre-venom all the time.
also... it's a Emperor Scorpion from the looks of it. About as dangerous a getting a bee sting. Which is why you see them used on shows like Fear Factor where people get a bunch of them dumped on them. Not exactly "deadly." Check it out of wikipedia.
hahhaa. i was looking thru google, just to double check the theory of cats being immune (it's what i had heard, but never looked up, seemed normal to me) and the fazed video is the #7 result in google.. 2 before the actual video on youtube

Actually, they are more immune than we are. Just like horses are more immune to the effects of snake bites. It's genetics and immunity passed on from generation to generation. Sure, they are physically less vulnerable, but they are also more immune.
Anyway, the emperor scorpion in the vid certainly isn't deadly, unless we're talking to prey, here.

"Gaelle Denis initially draws a gray, desolate picture of the metropolis, depicting it as an intimidating presence. And so it is with Tomoko, a young Japanese girl who comes to London to learn English. At first, she doesn't like it a bit there. She hardly even leaves the house. But that changes radically when, quite by accident, she discovers a mysterious, secret underground city below London, a place that's colorful and friendly. In the wake of this experience, she meets a lot of new friends, learns English and makes one wonderful discovery after another."
