new episodes start Mar 23rd on comedy central
i believe there is a 2 hr movie to start it off.

Great show, but I don't love as many characters as the Simpons or other shows. Zoidberg and the Professor are easily my favorites, with others depending on the episode. I think that's its only failing with me, personally... I just don't love the characters enough.
it's about time we got a thread for this show
I'll have to DVR it. Bender is probably the only reason I watch the show, he really is a scene stealer.

If it's Bender's Big Score, I've already seen the movie. I knew they were making more movies but didn't know they were making new episodes, though. Awesome.
I've been watching Futurama since it's premier many years ago and I'd- ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNO TOAD

Too bad it had to be by JackArse, and with no initial caps in the name of the show, though...
I'm sure someone who's first language is English will fix it though, haha.
They are splitting up Bender's Big Score into 4 episodes. You could notice the splits while watching the movie if you were looking for it.
BTW there are supposedly 12 more new episodes coming. Basically 4 movies split into 16 episodes.
sanka brings the facts. Thanks. I knew they were making more movies (all of them are supposedly going to be time travel related), I thought the episodes might be something different.
Oh man, I'm so excited i must shimmy!

It's funny, I really didn't like the show when it originally aired. I guess I expected it to be more "Simpson-ish" and when it was so different, I was disappointed.
Then my wife started watching it. At first I said, "Ugh, Futurama sucks. Why are you watching this?"
She left it on and now I love it. I really didn't give it enough of a chance the first time.
Zoidberg is awesome. The Professor is hysterical and Frye is alot like me. Except that I am not my own grandfather.
Also, this threadshould have started with "Good news, everyone..." in the Professors honor.

are they running the episodes uncut or are they still censored?
"Ugh, Futurama sucks. Why are you watching this?"
The more it is left on, the more I say this. Everyone looks at me like I am insane.
I never liked it when it was on, now I love it. Adult Swim every night pretty much wore me out on it, I've seen everything 5 times or more, but it's still better than whatever else is on.

Same here. I thought it was too goofy and weird, and didn't bother sticking with it.
Now, though... I am amazed at how great some of the episodes are.
Some things can only be understood with wisdom, and wisdom only comes with age. You young folk will love it when you're old enough to understand.
Futurama
I just finished watching every season over again like a week ago.
good times.
Oh god. If they would only bring back Firefly as well, I'd die happy.
Futurama was really well written and they kept good track of their plots and all the side characters.... glad it's coming back.
Given a choice between The Simpsons, Family Guy, South Park and Futurama, I'd watch Futrama.
I'd take Drawn Together over any of them though.
I'd take Drawn Together over any of them though.
I don't know. Every time I watch Drawn Together I end up changing the channel. They are just too over the top. It stops being funny.
I'd watch South Park over any, Futurama is second, and I'll change the channel if Drawn Together is on.
Drawn Together is an abomination. I used to think it was funny, now I rewatch the same episodes and wondered what I saw. Shocking is not funny, especially when it's not shocking.
Futurama is funny, and pulled some surprisingly touching episodes with Fry's parasites, devil hands, and his dog.

My wife will cry every time at Jurassic Bark. She never realizes it's that episode till the end though.
the one where fry moves the stars to spell out i love you leela or whatever is also a real tear jerker
my all time favorite futurama episode is the one where bender is lost in space and a civilization spawns on him

Yeah, that's definitely way up there on the top episodes list. My favorite is probably "Roswell That Ends Well." I'm a sucker for time traveling and paradoxes.

My favorite also. Always saved on my DVR.
Some of the jokes on there are classic.
Narrator: You are entering the realm which is unusual. Maybe it's magic or contains some kind of monster. The second one. Prepare to enter... The Scary Door. Please send a man 'round back and pick up Clyde Smith, a professional gambler who's about to have an unfortunate accident.
Clyde Smith: [Smith is run over by a car, then awakes in a casino. He plays the slot machine and wins] Ha-ha-ha! A casino where I'm winning? That car must've killed me. I must be in heaven!
[wins again]
Clyde Smith: A casino where I always win. That's boring. I must really be... in HELL!
Sebastian Cabot: No, Mr. Smith. You are not in heaven or hell. You are on an airplane!
[unrolls the curtains, revealing the airplane windows. A creature sits on the wing of the plane, ripping wires out of it]
Clyde Smith: There's a gremlin destroying the plane. You gotta believe me!
Sebastian Cabot: Why should I believe you? You're Hitler!
[Pulls out a mirror. Clyde's reflection indeed looks like Hitler]
Clyde Smith: No!
[turns to a woman sitting next to him]
Clyde Smith: Eva Braun! Help me!
[the woman pulls off a mask, revealing the head of a fly]
Clyde Smith: A-a-ah!
Bender: Saw it coming.

oh oh the one where zoidberg goes back to his home planet to spawn
Dr. Zoidberg: I am having an emotion I have never felt before. What do you call when you have feelings for a female beyond the desire to mate?
Fry: I don't know. Must be some strange, alien emotion.
Fry: I don't know. Must be some strange, alien emotion.
George Foreman: This could be the most one-sided fight since 1973 when Ali faced an eighty-foot tall mechanical Joe Frazier. My memory isn't what it used to be, but I think the entire Earth was destroyed.

All their stabs at the Twilight Zone are hilarious. They should do a mini-series for the "Scary Door." That would be awesome.

In a way, yeah. It's funny that I'm interested in time travel, but I really don't think anything like that is going on in LOST. Roswell That Ends Well really is my favorite episode.
Professor Hubert Farnsworth: You must take him to his ancient home world, which will soon erupt in an orgy of invertebrate sex.
Fry: Oh baby. I'm THERE.
Leela: Fry, do you even understand the word "invertebrate"?
Fry: Nope, but that's not the word I'm interested in.
my favorite character is zoidberg
least favorite is MOM

Word. I always seem to levitate towards his type. Like "Meatwad" on ATHF.

Lost will end with all the events turning out to be on a malfunctioning holoshed.
I also particularly enjoyed the episode with the Lucy Liu love bots.
I don't know whom I find funnier:
Zoidberg, or Zap Brannigan.
Zoidberg, or Zap Brannigan.
Lost will be revealed to all take place on the holodeck of the enterprise in J.J. Abrams Star Trek movie
Lost takes place in my colon. It's near the corn.

Lrrr: Mmm, this jerked chicken is good. I think I'll have Fry's lower horn jerked.
Bender: It's used to it. Woooo!
Lrrr: This human's lower horn is one of God's creatures. A living thing. And all living things, large and small...
Bender: In this case, small. Woooo!
Leela: Well, Fry, it looks like you get to hold on to your lower horn.
Bender: As usual. Woooo!

In the Amazonia episode, having Bea Arthur as the femputor was pure genius.

Fry: Pssst! Leela, you gotta get me out of here; it's horrible! Eating scraps, letting my waste drop wherever it falls like an animal in the zoo.
Leela: Animals go in the corner.
Fry: The corner!! Why didn't I think of that!
