There's more, but it's such a small percentage it doesn't really matter.

I'm of British descent, but my mom's always pulling some "your great grandma was Indian" bullshit. Anyways, I like to claim I'm Irish, but that's simply not true.

I don't know for certain all the percentages and whatnot because I leave that to my older sister.

My last name is German, I'm pretty sure. Otherwise most of my heritage is from the British Isles. I know I am a direct descendant of one of the Mayflower settlers.

I'm pretty much almost completely French Canadian with a little smattering of Iroquois - Seneca thrown in for good measure...and boy do I look French.

Surprisingly, my heritage was enough to get me both a French-Canadian scholarship and a Native American scholarship for gradschool at UMaine...but I didn't end up going there. 

Damn near 100% Irish.....theres a little bit of Indian (feather) somewhere thrown in a few generations back on dad's side. Most of my family is straight from the Old Country.

If you mush together all of it, I'm a good quarter German, a quarter Scotch/Irish, a solid quarter native american, and the other quarter's a mishmash of old brit, irish, and norwegian.

I'm only the 3rd generation born here from both sides of my mom's family and the majority of dad's family hasn't been around much longer. My earliest ancestor in this country showed up just in time to fight in the Spanish American war.

My dad's side is German by way of England; anglicized German names, probably same areas that the English-German Kings were from. My mother's side is pure Scot.

I had family here in colonial times. In Texas a long time... best I can figure from Tennessee. Got a relative that hauled a canon and supplies to the Alamo...then got the hell out of there.

Mom's side is Irish Catholics, she's the first of her family to live in the US, came here in the late 60's.
Dad's side is Byelorussian Jews (OMG RACE OR RELIGION, fuckoff), great grandfather left during the pogroms in the early 1900's, bribing German border guards and boarding a boat to Ellis Island, and settling in New England.
So one side I'm the second generation, other I'm a 4th generation American.

I just really wanted to try living somewhere other than new england, and I figured if I didn't do it during college, I never would.

Plus, as I'm sure you know, Maine is cold as balls!!!
