She Breaches!

The Seabreacher X is the latest and most advanced submersible watercraft that we have built to date: This exciting new version is based on the dolphin-inspired Seabreacher J, but it has a more aggressive Shark-style body. The X model also steps up the performance envelope with a 260hp supercharged engine, propelling the vessel to a top speed of 50mph on the surface and 25mph below.

How Low Can You Go?

Emperor Duke limbos under two Kalik bottles. Apparently he used to do this when the bar was on fire. Guess he's getting soft in his old age.

Out of the Ashes

Stranded by the ash cloud, inspired by the just-concluded Skoll World Forum, and temporarily headquartered in one of the world's greatest cities, a group of entrepreneurs, thinkers, tinkerers and creatives is throwing an unprecendented TEDx event: TEDxVolcano.

Put together in 48 hours by TEDster Nathaniel Whittemore with the support of TED, TEDxLondon, The Hub, Sandbox Network, Assetmap and many others, TEDxVolcano will feature a wide range of thinkers and doers stranded by the volcano, plus inspired audience participation and a few ash-induced surprises. Also: the extraordinary sounds of London-based, global-minded musician Susheela Raman.

Ice Bears vs FireAntz

How do you know a bench-clearing hockey brawl has reached legendary status? When the pummeling hits the six-minute mark? When 19 players and a coach are ejected? When one team is penalized so heavily that it later has to forfeit the game due to lack of players?

Up, Up, and Away

Martin Aircraft Company, in Christchurch, New Zealand, aims to make 500 jet packs a year which will sell for around £50,000.

Because it weighs less than 254 pounds (115kg) the jet pack does not require a pilot's license. It is capable of traveling 30 miles in 30 minutes on a full tank of fuel.

This Olde House

Bruce and Melanie Rosenbaum started ModVic (Modern Victorian) Home Restoration in June 2007 and have now moved onto steampunk Home Design. ModVic's mission is to authentically restore historic Victorian homes (1850 – 1910) to their original beauty and richness while completely modernizing the home’s systems, functional layout and conveniences for the family of today (sound familiar?). Bruce and Melanie also love the steampunk design aesthetic of combining the best of Victorian high design and craftsmanship with modern functionality and usefulness.

Holy Sith!

Halloween is long gone, but this Star Wars Tauntaun costume deserves to be spoken about, cherished, and hailed as a great Geek creation!

Star Wars fans have always dressed up in robes and adorned face paint to look like Jedi’s and Sith but this wasn’t enough for Scott Holden, for he wanted to go over the top and make himself an action Tauntaun costume.
